Illinois is launching a $250-million dollar Back to Business grant program designed to support the continued recovery of small businesses. The program will offer grants of $5-thousand dollars to $150-thousand dollars to businesses that lost funds during the COVID-19 pandemic. The money can be used to cover a wide range of operations, staff, and overhead costs.
The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and Governor Pritzker announced the program. Allies for Community Business, DCEO’S grant administrator, will begin accepting applications on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
