Danville Farmer’s Market at Crossroads Christian Church – (3613 N. Vermilion, Danville) Back to School Backpack Drive for the Crosspoint at the Y. The supplies collected will assist children in either the Domestic Violence or Transitional Shelter Programs. Michelle Campbell, Development Specialist at Crosspoint Human Services, says every year kids come to the shelter with nothing and have to face a new school year with no backpacks or supplies. Campbell says Saturday’s School Supply/ Backpack Drive at the Danville Farmers Market at 3613 North Vermilion Street in Danville is an effort to prevent that from happening. And, of course, you can purchase locally grown and homemade products; 8:00AM-Noon.
