The Vermilion County Health Department says it will not be offering booster shots for COVID-19 until additional information is received from the Centers for Disease Control and Illinois Department of Public Health.
The boosters for COVID-19 are mainly for certain immune compromised individuals and for those who received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. Vermilion County Health Department Administrator Douglas Toole says his office will inform the public on the next step after more specific information is received regarding COVID-19 booster immunizations.
