A former Danville woman who was convicted on Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer charges for intentionally coughing on two Danville Police officers has been sentenced to three days in jail. Kylie Taylor was also placed on 24 months of probation by Associate Judge Mark Goodwin.
Vermilion County State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy says the officers were placing handcuffs on Taylor in connection with a domestic disturbance when she coughed on them. Lacy says Taylor told the officers she had recently been quarantined for COVID-19, adding she hoped the officers would get the virus.
Lacy had requested Taylor be sentenced to three years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
