Ameren workers from across Illinois and Missouri are heading to Louisiana this week to assist in restoring power in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. The company says more than 300 Ameren employees will be making the trip south.
‘’Our hearts go out to those who have been affected by this devastating hurricane,’’ said Warner Baxter, president and CEO of Ameren Corporation. ‘’Ameren customers in Illinois and Missouri have benefitted many times from mutual assistance following severe storms and know firsthand how this type of support can make a real difference in recovery efforts.’’
The Ameren employees are planning to be in the disaster area for two weeks helping to restore power.
Just as they do when working in Illinois or Missouri, Ameren says the company’s employees are taking extra precautions to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19.
