It’s a busy weekend with the Vermilion River Fall Festival and all, but don’t forget that Saturday September 18th is Museum Day around the country, and that means free admission at the Vermilion County War Museum. Museum Board president Jim Kouzmanoff invites everyone to stop by at 307 North Vermilion. He says if you haven’t been there in the last year to 18 months, you’ll see a lot of additions, updates, and changes; all to help you learn about Vermilion County’s connections to key moments in history.
AUDIO: You name it: new books, new models, and new displays, that’s probably the biggest thing. We’ve got a new display about the Revolutionary War, a new display on the Civil War; and we’ve got the most popular “anti-tank gun” of World War II.
Vermilion County War Museum hours during Saturday’s Museum Day free admission will be 10 to 4.
