The Danville Police Department moved into a new era of rank with the promotions of Commanders Terry McCord and Josh Webb to Deputy Chiefs, along with the promotions of Douglas Miller, Kyle O’Brien, and Eric Kizer to the newly created Lieutenant positions. Police Chief Christopher Yates says his ability to work with McCord and Webb is very important because it’s three separate people, with their own ways of thinking.

This final promotion of the ceremony was Sergeant Eric Kizer being promoted to Lieutenant, after 20 years with the department.
