The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department has announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the double homicide that occurred very early Saturday, September 18th, at Blue Bird’s Liquor on East Main just outside Danville. Twenty-one year old Darryl L. Jordan of Kankakee was arrested in Kankakee County on October 11th, on a warrant charging him with multiple counts of murder and aggravated battery with a firearm. He was returned to Vermilion County on October 12th by sheriff’s department investigators.

Deputies were called to Blue Bird’s at 1:55 AM on the 18th and located four individuals with gunshot wounds. Twenty-year-old Leslie E Fisher, Jr and 21-year-old Charles L. Jones, Jr died from their injuries; while the two additional shooting victims survived.
Previously arrested in this case, on September 21st, was 23-year-old Gregory Burns. Jordan and Burns are both being held in the Vermilion County Jail, each with a bond of $10,000,000.
