The Vermilion County Health Department is reporting 75 new COVID cases (two residents in their 70s, four in their 60s, six in their 50s, nine in their 40s, twelve in their 30s, three in their 20s, thirteen teens, sixteen grade-school-aged children, six pre-schoolers, one toddler, and three infants), and 120 released, which brings the county to a total of 13,766 positive cases during the pandemic..
The Vermilion County COVID fatality total remains at 195.
There are currently 306 active COVID cases in the county, and there are currently 15 Vermilion County residents hospitalized with COVID, one of whom is fully vaccinated.
Of the 75 new cases being reported, two stated they have been fully vaccinated
Please check the health department website, www.vchd.org, for information about our upcoming COVID vaccination clinics. Local hospitals (OSF, Carle, and the VA), pharmacies, Aunt Martha’s, and some private providers are providing COVID vaccination clinics, as well.
