Led Zeppelin has finally come to TikTok. TikTok users can now create videos soundtracked to any song from the band's full discography, encompassing over 100 total songs across the band's entire studio and live studio catalogue — including such legendary tracks such as “Whole Lotta Love,” “Stairway To Heaven,” “Immigrant Song,” “Rock And Roll,” “Black Dog,” “Ramble On,” and “Kashmir,” among many others.
The band has also launched its own official TikTok account (@ledzeppelin) featuring “Zeppelin artwork and graphics, classic live performances, and other video content.”
When we last caught up with Jimmy Page he told us as the architect of the band, he was very succinct in what he envisioned Led Zeppelin being: “I was going to be the producer, you see, of it and have a band that would showcase all of the musicians — not just myself; although the first album would be a guitar tour-de-force. It wasn't going to be at the expense of anybody else, and that's exactly how that first album was put together.”
Co-founding bassist John Paul Jones told us that band politics never came into play when the band was working up new material: “We always made music in the same way — we all know whether something works or not. When we wrote music together, you know, if somebody came up with an idea, if it didn't work, you didn't have to be taken to a room quietly to say, 'Y'know, we can't use this,' y'know? Everybody knows, 'Hey, this is rubbish! Y'know, let's do something else!' And we'd go on to something that does work, and then everybody knows it works.”
