The Vermilion County Health Department is reporting 80 new cases of COVID, 40 of which are individuals under the age of 20. The latter includes 14 teens, 17 grade-sch00l-aged children, four pre-schoolers, three toddlers, and two infants.
Other new positive cases include one resident in their 70s, five in their 50s, eight in their 40s, 21 in their 30s, and five in their 20s.
One additional COVID death is being reported in Vermilion County, a woman in her 30s. This brings the county’s COVID fatality total to 197.
Of the 80 new cases, one person stated they had been fully vaccinated.
