A head-on collision along Illinois Route 119 northeast of Bismarck Friday morning (November 19, 2021) left both drivers injured. Illinois State Police say their preliminary investigation found a vehicle being driven by 68-year-old Patty Aldrich of Indianola crossed the center line for some unknown reason. It collided head-on with an auto being operated by 52-year-old Douglas Risken of Champaign.
Both drivers were transported to area hospitals with injuries but other information on their conditions was unavailable.
Aldrich was cited for Improper Lane Usage and No Seatbelt. Risken was also cited for failure to use a seatbelt. State Police remind citizens that all subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
