Danville Police are reporting that an arrest has been made in the shooting investigation from Wednesday, November 24th where an 18 year old victim was shot. Eighteen year old Andre T. Parchman of Danville was taken into custody at the Danville Public Safety Building around 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 30th. During follow-up investigation it was learned that the victim was targeted for a robbery, and during that encounter he was shot.
Parchman was identified as a suspect in this incident, and Parchman became aware that Danville Police were looking for him and turned himself in to detectives at the Public Safety Building. Parchman is awaiting arraignment in Vermilion County Court on preliminary charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. The victim remains in an area hospital in stable condition.
