Some area residents continued to clean-up debris over the weekend from Friday night’s severe storms.
Power crews were working under contract with Ameren to replace seven damaged power poles along Vermilion County Road 2650N south of Ridge Farm (below). There were numerous other power outages from the storm across east-central Illinois and west-central Indiana.

(Above are photos of damage just south of Ridge Farm where a large machine shed was damaged and some power poles were snapped off, but a nearby home escaped serious damage.)
(Below) Scattered damage occurred in Kingman, IN; where the power was knocked out for a while. The storm downed tree limbs in Kingman and uprooted some large trees in the area. And damage occurred at a grain elevator where one of the large storage bins was tossed upside down where it landed on an empty vehicle.

Our News Department received no reports of storm related injuries in the area.
