The City of Danville Community Development Block Grant Program has scheduled meetings next month seeking public input on its 2022 Annual Action Plan.
The City is expecting to receive just over one-million dollars from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to carry out its 2022 plan. In order to get the funds, the City must develop a Consolidated Plan every 5 years and an Annual Action Plan that documents priorities and goals for the program.
Activities currently proposed include housing for low and moderate-income families, special need population housing and accommodations, public improvements, infrastructure improvements to support neighborhoods, and projects to address homelessness.
The public is invited to attend any one of the informational meetings on the plan which are scheduled at the Danville Public Library. Dates and times for the meetings include:
- Wednesday, January 5, 2022 starting at 2:00 p.m.
- Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
- Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at either 2:00 or 5:00 p.m.
Surveys are also available online, and you can review copies of the proposed activities at the Danville City Clerk’s Office at the Robert E. Jones Municipal Building at 17 West Main Street…the Danville Public Library at 319 N. Vermilion Street…and the Danville Community Development Office at 1155 E. Voorhees Street.
