Neuhoff Media Lafayette radio stations WASK, K-105 (WKOA-FM), and B102-9 (WXXB-FM) came together again for their annual two-day, 18-hour radiothon to benefit the Riley Children’s Foundation.
The Neuhoff Media Lafayette Riley Radiothon simulcasted on the three stations on Thursday, January 13th from 12pm to 6pm and Friday, January 14th from 6am from 6pm. Last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the stations broadcasted from their studios in an effort to keep the public and station personnel safe. For 2022 the three radio stations were able to return to broadcast live from Kohl’s Court at the Tippecanoe Mall as they had done in previous years.
Despite the hardships the on-going pandemic continues to bring upon the community, this year’s radiothon raised $77,927 for the Riley Children’s Foundation. Melissa Sexton, Community Fundraising Events Coordinator with Riley Children’s Foundation, said, “This is the first radiothon of the year for Children’s Miracle Network. Everyone did an amazing job, and we can’t thank you all enough.”
This is the fifth year the three radio stations have collaborated for this event.
