Governor J. B. Pritzker has announced that as long as the downward trend on COVID numbers continues, the indoor mask mandate for the State of Illinois will end on Febraury 28th. However, schools, congregate facilities, and nursing homes will continue to have a mask mandate at that time. The governor also stated that individual municipalities or businesses are certainly welcome to have masking policies if they choose, and that individuals who still desire to wear masks should not be discouraged from doing so.
