A very special art display is coming to the Vermilion County Museum starting this Sunday. It is of artwork done by prisoners of the Holocaust. And as Museum Director Sue Richter reminds us; for those that survived, this was often artwork that they first did while prisoners, but had to create it again later.
AUDIO: And a lot of them; they did them after they came out. Because a lot of the stuff that they did while they were in did not survive, so they recreated them.
The special Grand Opening will be this Sunday, March 6th, from 1:30 to 5 PM, and the display will be up through March 31st. The Vermilion County Museum is located at 116 North Gilbert in Danville. Admission to Sunday’s Grand Opening is free.
