THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE RELEASE:

Sixteen (16) National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men’s Basketball teams from across the country will have earned the title of regional champions and will represent their regions in the upcoming NJCAA Division II Men’s National Basketball Championship. The upcoming NJCAA Championship Tournament will be held at Danville Area Community College March 15-19, 2022. This year marks the 29th year that Danville has hosted the tournament and the 38th year of the tournament.

A playoff bracket is available at www.njcaa.org. WDAN radio (1490 AM) will broadcast all of the tournament games. Games will also be on Comcast/Xfinity Channel 5.

The 2022 tournament game times are:

· Tuesday, March 15, 2022:Morning/Afternoon Session: 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, 3PM.Evening Session: 6:30PM, 8:30PM

· Wednesday, March 16, 2022:Morning/Afternoon Session: 11AM, 1PM, 3PM.Evening Session: 6PM, 8PM

· Thursday, March 17, 2022:Morning/Afternoon Session: 11AM, 1PM, 3PM.Evening Session: 6PM, 8PM

· Friday, March 18, 2022:Morning/Afternoon Session: 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, 3PM.Evening Session: 6:30PM, 8:30PM

· Saturday, March 19, 2022:Morning/Afternoon Session: Noon, 2PM.Evening Session: 5:30PM, 7:30PM

Tickets are $10.00 each session. Children 6 and under are free for all games. $50.00 tournament pass good for all games. Tickets sold at the door only. Visa, Master Card and Discover accepted.

A 50/50 Raffle is held in conjunction with the tournament. Tickets cost $1 each. The winning ticket will be drawn Saturday, March 19, during the championship game. Raffle participants need not be present to win. All proceeds from the raffle will support DACC athletic programs.
