An announcement may be coming soon about some new restaurants for Downtown Danville. Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr told members of the Public Works Committee of the City Council during this week’s meeting that two restaurants are expected to go into the former Turk Furniture location along North Vermilion Street. The location is directly north of the Fischer Theatre.
Although the plans have not been finalized yet, Mayor Williams says he expects an announcement in about 60 days. If new restaurants do open there, they would not only be a boost to Downtown Danville, but they would also be just a few blocks down the street from the Carle at the Riverfront project.
