The suspect in a February 24th shooting in the Danville Walmart parking lot has been given a pre-trial hearing date of May 16th, after a not-guilty plea was entered on behalf of the defendant during Monday’s video court appearance from the Vermilion County Jail.
It was on February 27th that Francis M Briscoe III of Tilton turned himself in at the Danville Public Safety Building, after allegedly confronting an ex-girlfriend in the Walmart parking lot the evening of February 24th, and shooting twice when she attempted to get into her vehicle. Witnesses stated he then fled the scene in his pickup truck, and the victim suffered gunshot wounds to her torso and lower back.
