HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) COLLECTION EVENT
Saturday, April 9, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Champaign, IL – State Farm Center – SE Quad Parking Lot

This HHW collection event is open to ALL Illinois residents. It is sponsored by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) and co-sponsored by Champaign County, City of Champaign, City of Urbana, and Village of Savoy.

Acceptable Items: Oil-based paints, paint thinners, herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, old gasoline and kerosene, pool chemicals, cleaning products, mercury, household batteries, used motor oil, drain cleaners, lawn chemicals, solvents, antifreeze, hobby chemicals, aerosol paints and pesticides, fluorescent light tubes, and compact fluorescent bulbs.**
Non-Acceptable Items: Latex/water-based paints, propane tanks, smoke detectors, explosives, fireworks, controlled substances, biohazard waste, farm machinery oil, farm chemicals and farm oil, fire extinguishers, institutional wastes, (NO business, agricultural, institutional, or industrial waste!)
**Interstate Batteries will be onsite during the collection to separately accept your lead-acid batteries.
