A special community effort by Mosaic City Church will be going on at Garfield Park on Saturday. Starting at 1 PM at Garfield Park, they’ll be handing out 100 $25.00 gasoline gift cards. Pastor LeStan Hoskins says just show your driver’s license. He says these are tough times when it comes to gas prices, and they see lots of examples that show people need some help.
AUDIO: I heard someone tell me that they had a doctor’s appointment, and they didn’t have enough money for gas. And as a pastor, you just feel for people. And so I said, “You know what, why don’t we just, you know, give out gift certificates, or gift cards, to people in our community to help them out?” And so from there, the rest was just history.
Pastor Hoskins added one thing: it would be a good idea to get there early. Again that’s 100 $25.00 gas cards being given out at Garfield Park, starting at 1 PM Saturday.
