Danville Police are seeking help from the public as they probe the shooting of two teenagers Sunday night. Sergeant Eric Olson says officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of James Street for a report of possible gunshots just before 9:00 p.m. On arrival officers found a 17-year-old male had been shot in a leg and forearm, and a 16-year-old had been shot in a leg. Both teens were transported to an area hospital and were reported in stable condition.
The teens told police they were walking in the 1300 block of east English Street when shots were fired at them from a vehicle.
The incident involving the wounding of the teens was not the only one where shots were reportedly fired Sunday night in Danville. Police also responded to reports of shots fired in the 1100 block of Robinson Street and in the area of Gilbert and Woodlawn.
