For the second time in two days, Danville Police are investigating a shooting. The latest incident involved a 22-year-old Danville man who suffered a gunshot wound to his back in the area of Clyman Lane and Fowler Avenue.
Deputy Chief Joshua Webb says officers responded to the shooting around 11:40 p.m. Monday. Police rendered aid to the victim until medical personnel arrived. The victim was listed in stable condition after being taken to an area hospital. His name was not released.
Police located multiple shell casings in the area of the 900 block of Fowler Avenue. No other injuries have been reported from the incident and no suspect information was immediately available.
On Sunday night two Danville teenagers suffered gunshot wounds in a reported drive-by shooting. The teens said they were walking in the area of the 1300 block of East English Street when bullets rang out from a vehicle that passed them. One boy, who is seventeen, suffered gunshot wounds to a leg and forearm. The other, who is sixteen, was shot in a leg. Both were hospitalized in stable condition.
