KIRK HAMMET DROPS FIRST TRACK FROM 'PORTALS': Kirk Hammett of Metallica has released a first taste of his upcoming debut solo EP in the form of “High Plains Drifter.” The track, which made its debut on Friday (April 15th), opens the second side of Portals, Kirk's four-song EP out April 23rd. Hammett said in a press release, “This music was created with what I describe as an Audio-Cinematic approach. They’re soundtracks to the movies in your mind.”
THE KILLERS REVEAL TWO NEW SONGS: The Killers kicked off their Imploding The Mirage Tour in Las Vegas Friday (April 15th) by performing several new songs. According to NME, the band opened with the live debut of “My Own Soul’s Warning”, later followed by “Running Towards A Place”, “Fire In Bone” and “The Getting By II”. The 21-song set also included hits like “Mr. Brightside” and “Smile Like You Mean It.”
