Danville area letter carriers are helping to stock local food pantries. The carriers on Saturday, May 14th, are collecting non-perishable food items that are donated by people living along their routes.
All the citizens need to do is place the items in a bag and leave them near their mail box. The letter carriers will pick them up and make sure they are delivered to those in need. All of the food that is collected is used to help stock local food pantries.
The collection is conducted on the second Saturday in May each year and is sponsored locally by the Danville Branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
