May 13th Shooting Suspect Given Court Date of July 12th

A non-guilty plea was entered on behalf of 28-year-old Tyler W. Perkins of Danville, with a next court date of July 12th at 9 AM; on the two charges he faces in connection with the Friday May 13th morning shooting of a 47-year-old man (who remains in stable condition) near the intersection of Main and Jackson.  He faces charges of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.  He also has a pending Failure to Appear charge.
