Lil Uzi Vert flung a cell phone into the crowd at a recent show and seems to have hit a woman in the head, leaving her scalp bloodied.
TikTok user @ccornonmycob (aka Drilla G) captured footage of the Philadelphia rapper's performance at the U.K.'s Wireless Festival where he is seen throwing the phone into the crowd as well as the aftermath of the incident.
While performing “Money Longer,” Uzi picked up the phone that ended up on the stage and launched it into the crowd.
Photos were later seen of a woman with a bloodied head, who claimed that her injury was from the phone Uzi threw into the crowd. There is also video of security escorting her to receive medical attention.
In another video, Drilla G explained, “I am the chick that got her head smashed in by the phone. Yes, there was some damage caused, but the guy got his phone back and everything is being dealt with.” Apparently, another person was hit with the phone, too.
She that there was no way for her to dodge the phone because there was no space to move due to the festival being jam-packed.
She added, “And even if I did move out of the way it would have hit someone either way, the phone wouldn’t hit the ground first.”
A source released a statement to XXL, which said, “During Uzi’s set at Wireless Fest, fans threw multiple cellphones onto the stage and inadvertently struck him. He merely attempted to clear the phones from the stage, avoid slipping and safely continue his performance — he never intentionally directed it at a specific individual.”
