The Village of Chrisman is celebrating their Sesquicentennial, 150 years in existence, Thursday, September 8th through Sunday, September 11th.
It begins with the opening ceremony at 10 AM Thursday morning. Carla Haga from the Sesquicentennial committee tells us about just some of the things happening after that.
AUDIO: We’ve got all kinds of food vendors, shopping vendors. My goodness we’ve got all kinds of raffles. We have “Brothers of the Brush” for the longest beard, just all kinds of crazy things. The Legion’s got a hospitality tent. Of course you have the fish fry from the fire department. The Queen of Hearts drawing is Thursday night at the Legion. Kick over to Saturday and you have three-on-three basketball, a baby contest, a cook off from the Chrisman Christian church. Kiddie tractor pulls, cake walks; it kind of goes on and on.
Just google Chrisman Sequicentennial for more schedule information, running all the way through Sunday.
