THE FOLLOW IS A VERMILION COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY’S OFFICE RELEASE
On Friday, September 16, 2022, Judge Charles Hall sentenced Jermaine McQueen to twelve (12) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by eighteen (18) months of mandatory supervised release (i.e. parole), for the offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class X Felony. Class X Felonies are punishable from six (6) to thirty (30) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The Vermilion Metropolitan Enforcement Group (VMEG) conducted an investigation over the course of several months during the summer of 2021. During the plea the court heard evidence that in August, 2021, VMEG conducted a stop and arrested McQueen with over twenty (20) grams of methamphetamine, while he was enroute to deliver the methamphetamine.
