It was a very special moment Friday morning, October 28th, when a Danville Mass Transit bus, recently decorated with OSF Cancer Center signage, stopped by the OSF Bobette Steely Hegeler Cancer Care Center at 806 North Logan. It just so happens that this bus is driven by breast cancer survivor Brenda Finley, who recalled that a regular routine mammogram discovered her cancer.
Breast Cancer Survivor Brenda Finley is honored to be driving this special Danville Mass Transit Bus.
AUDIO: I was lucky. I wasn’t even at quite Stage One yet. So I really get on my friends about getting their mammograms done. When I realized it was my bus I got pretty excited. So it’s going to be good to drive around with it and continue to support survivors and fighters, and the ones that have passed.
