This past Friday evening’s First Friday’s POTTERFEST event in Downtown Danville, as well as at the library, proved to be a major success yet again, with amazing costumes once again all over.

Danville Community Relations Administrator Ashton Greer says, it’s just a matter of adjusting and improving year after year. How many people did they have? Your guess is as good as anyone’s. But one thing for sure, the crowd was able to move along from place to place a little better.
AUDIO: I don’t know an exact count. But it felt this year like we had more people that last year. And we learned a lot from last year too, so I felt like the flow was much better. It went really well.

And by all accounts, the Danville Public Library once again delivered on Potterfest.
AUDIO: Everyone that I talked to, following Potterfest, that stopped by the library; was just blown away. I heard from a couple people that it was like, it took the trophy home. The library was kind of like the key attraction.
Next up for First Fridays, the December 2nd Night of Lights Parade, in addition to some planned Downtown activity on Black Friday as well.
