The Silver Anniversary Festival of Trees began Saturday, November 12th and continues at the David S Palmer Arena. One familiar voice who has been there all the way through, except for when he’s teaching at Danville High School, is emcee Brian Schroeder.

AUDIO: This is an early start to Christmas. And we all know Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, and it’s great to have a little early Christmas gift for the community. And all the proceeds from this that go to all the outreaches; all the children’s functions in the community; is just wonderful.

Lots of families enjoy this every year, including Kendra O’Connell from Catlin, who brings her two sons every year.
AUDIO: Well it’s just a tradition for my boys to come here and see all the trees and get to see Santa. (Question: How old are they?) Six and four.

The Silver Anniversary Festival of Trees will run 9 AM to 8 PM both Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15. Tuesday is also Senior Day, with those 60 and over admitted for free all day. The Children’s Craft Area will run from 4 to 8 PM both Monday and Tuesday. Festival of Trees concludes Wednesday the 16th, running from 9 AM to 3 PM.
