Coming up soon; Sunday, December 4th; will be the day you can go back in time for the holiday season and stop by the Bunker Hill area at Kennekuk County Park. The Vermilion County Conservation District’s Laura Danzl recently joined Laura Williams on 1490 WDAN’s Community Connection program.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: We will have the lights turned on at the holiday open house Bunker Hill area up here at Kennekuk. Three of the buildings are also going to be open for people to come into the buildings, tour around and look at everything. (You can) enjoy some cookies and refreshments; the Chuck Brooks family Christmas light display will also be on. And so all of that will be Sunday, December 4th, starting at 2 o’clock, until 8 PM.
And also, please remember that all the equipment from the Chuck Brooks family holiday lights display that used to be along Henning Road was donated to the Conservation District prior to last Christmas. So once again, starting that Sunday, December 4th; and every night 5 to 8 PM all the way to December 31st, you’ll be able to drive through Kennekuk County Park, past the Bunker Hill area, and relive that traditional display, including finding the music on your car radio.
