Danville’s Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr. stated at the start of the Tuesday, January 17th Danville City Council meeting that with the COVID pandemic having slowed down planned honor ceremonies for those who had served the city in the past, he is hoping to begin holding those on a regular basis.
The following ceremonies were held at the start of the January 17th meeting:
Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr with: Retired Fire Chief Don McMasters, Former Vice-Mayor and Alderwoman Brenda Brown, Former Alderman Steve Foster, and Former Alderman (and also one of the “Seven Plaintiffs” who initiated change to Danville’s form of government in the 80s) the Reverend R.J. Davis.
