An 18-year-old man wanted for bank robbery in Macomb Township, Michigan and also for carjacking in Tippecanoe County, Indiana is still at large after being pursued through Danville Thursday night.
The suspect, Jacob Edwards, allegedly was seen driving a stolen vehicle from Indiana on Vermilion Street in Danville at 9:10 PM Thursday, and refused to stop for police. The chase continued to a field in the 2900 block of North Road, east of Henning Road. The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department says Edwards crashed the vehicle, and escaped on foot.
Several law enforcement agencies have been involved in the search. Residents are advised to lock their houses, outbuildings, and vehicles; and call 9-1-1 if they see any suspicious activity.

Media Alert-Armed and Dangerous Michigan Bank Robbery Fugitive on the Run in Vermillion County
On January 17, 2023 Jacob Robert Edwards entered the Huntington Bank in New Baltimore, Michigan, approaching the teller with a note demanding money and indicating that he had armed accomplices outside. Edwards fled the bank in a car, eluding law enforcement.
On January 19, Edwards stole a truck in Lafayette, Indiana. A police chase ensued in which Edwards crashed the vehicle in Henning, Illinois and escaped on foot. Afterwards, police discovered a missing firearm belonging to the owner of the truck.
It is believed that Edwards is in possession of the firearm. He is considered armed and dangerous and likely still in the area surrounding Henning. If you see this individual, do not approach, and call 911. If you have any information regarding Edward’s whereabouts, call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
