THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE DISTRICT 118 RELEASE
Super Penguin Author, Rob Witzel, is set to visit South View contest winners on Thursday, January 26th at 1:00 PM in the South View Library. After each student at South View was provided with a copy of Super Penguin, teachers and students read and worked on a special contest with the book.
Fifth and sixth grade winners were chosen by the author based on creating an alternate ending to the Super Penguin book or writing a book review. Mr. Witzel will be sharing with students his experience as an author and the importance of education in that role. Students will also be treated to lunch at the South McDonald’s prior to the event at South View’s Library.
Mrs. Robin Fluno, South View Principal, thanks the author for sponsoring the contest and McDonald’s South for providing the contest winners with a meal.
