The new Christie Clinic at the Riverfront in Danville has been open only three weeks and already Christie is looking to expand services even more here. Bill Pickett has the story….
Kenny Bilger, CEO of Christie Clinic, says that is because there is now space in Danville’s new facility for additional physicians.
Bilger says Christie had been looking to expand its footprint in Danville, reviewing its options for more than ten years…

Tarra Hafner, Clinical Services Manager for Christie Clinic at the Riverfront, says primary care family medicine and pain management and rehabilitation are among services that are offered at the new building. And specialists who come to Danville from Champaign augment those services…
{AUDIO: ‘’We have Dermatology, who spends every day but Friday here. So that’s a huge market for this area that is needed. We have Orthopedics, Foot and Ankle, Urology, Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Vein and Vascular. Our Dietician comes.’’
Christie Clinic’s new Danville facility is located across a parking lot that is shared with the new Carle at the Riverfront. And Christie Clinic CEO Kenny Bilger notes both cooperate in a lot of areas….
{AUDIO: ‘’We have a joint-venture ambulatory-surgery center in Champaign that we are partners on. And then we have a couple of real estate deals – one in Champaign, and now this one here in Danville. And then we also share electronic medical records with Epic through their Community Connect program. And so we have various ventures that we do with them and then we compete on things as well.’’}
