The issues at Schlarman Academy are continuing with the reported Friday (Feb 24) removal of longtime Schlarman Dean of Students Mark Croy’s position at the north high school campus.
Sources have told Neuhoff Media that Croy departed the north campus during the Friday morning hours; and said goodbye to students before leaving. He had been a regular at the north high school campus since 2013. Croy was reportedly offered an alternate position at the south campus; but has released a statement saying he and the Diocese have had a disagreement, and he will not be returning.

The reported given reason for the elimination of the position is continued restructuring by principal Barb Rew and the Peoria Diocese.
Earlier this week, during a Wednesday morning student walk-out at Schlarman Academy’s North Campus over numerous issues; Rew, prior to asking Neuhoff Media to leave the premises, presented a piece of paper with the Diocese phone number and told us to call them for comment. Multiple calls have not been returned.
Among the stated issues for the student, teacher, and parent anger were the dismissal of Dean of Students Courtney Hemker on Tuesday the 21st, along with the previous departure of former principal Mark Janesky, who had come out of retirement to assist Principal Rew.
