The Danville Area Community College men’s basketball team will be playing on their home court Tuesday night March 21st, 6:30 PM, as the number four seed in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament. Their opponent will be Johnson County Community College out of Overland Park, Kansas. During the “pairings watch party” at DACC’s Mary Miller Gymnasium, president Dr. Stephen Nacco said the pep band will be out and ready to go. And the main man behind the tournament, Vice-President for Student Affairs Brian Hensgen, says he can’t wait.

Last year’s NJCAA Division II men’s title game between South Suburban and Davidson-Davie. This year’s tournament begins Tuesday, March 21st; with DACC playing on their home court at 6:30 PM.
AUDIO: I think everyone’s excited about having an evening time, 6:30 Tuesday night. Hopefully this place is electric, and we have the community coming out to help support the Jaguars.
Athletic Director Tim Bunton agreed.
AUDIO: It’s going to be great. I mean we’ve seen it before here, the fans come out. So it’s going to be a great atmosphere, and we’re looking forward to it.
Meanwhile, the DACC women’s team received a 12 seed, and they’re heading to Division II Tournament play in Port Huron, Michigan against fifth seeded Harcum College out of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
