The case against a 45 year old man from Georgetown in connection with an accident last fall that killed a mother, father, and daughter from Oxford, Indiana has been continued to May 3rd at 1:15 PM.
Anthony Austin is facing two counts of Aggravated DUI from the accident just after midnight last October 2nd that killed 52 year old Lee Hall, 46 year old Felisha Hall, and 18 year old Madison Hall when their northbound Silverado was struck by a southbound GMC Sierra that had drifted into the northbound lane at Catlin-Indianola Road and County Road 550 in Indianola.
During Monday afternoon (March 20th) proceedings at the Vermilion County Courthouse, State’s Attorney Jacqueline Lacy said that originally the state had expected the accident reconstruction report to be done by the end of January. Now, however, it appears it will take a couple more months. Lacy said the usual time for such a report is about six months.
Meanwhile, on March 16th, the state had filed for an increase in Austin’s bail. The defense stated that Austin is having surgery on April 14th, and asked if the later option for the next court date could be chosen. Both the next pre-trial hearing and the hearing for the increase in Austin’s bail are now scheduled for the May 3rd date.
