Danville City Council Ward 5 Alderwoman Eve Ludwig says she wants to make it clear, with rumors going on this final week prior to Election Day, that she and her family still reside in their current home at 9 Harding Place, within the current Ward 5. She says, yes, you will see her family going to and from a purchased home on North Logan to do work on the inside of the house; and yes, there may even be a couple of campaign signs in the yard. But her family’s residency has not changed at this point.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: I want people to know that we’re still residing at 9 Harding Place; that we’re making changes at the other home and it’s not ready in any way ready for us to move in at this point. We’re looking forward to it after the ward map changes on April 5th, and that will be at some point in the next month or so.
The home purchased on North Logan will become part of Ward 5 when the boundary lines change after Election Day. Currently, the home on North Logan is in Ward 7. Ludwig is running unopposed on the ballot in Ward 5, while Jakob Dazey is running in Ward 5 as a write-in candidate.
