Vermilion County is showing improvement regarding the risk of getting COVID-19. The Centers for Disease Control says the county is now at the Low Community Level for COVID-19. It had been at the Medium Level.
The latest report from the CDC shows, in fact, that all counties in east-central Illinois are now at the Low Community Level…including Vermilion, Champaign, Iroquois, Ford, Coles, Douglas, and Edgar.
Regardless of the improvement, the Illinois Department of Public Health says citizens should still stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations, including recommended booster doses. You should also avoid contact with people who have suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19. And follow recommendations for isolation if you have suspected or confirmed COVID-19. And if you are at high risk of getting very sick, talk with a healthcare provider about additional prevention actions.
