The Danville Police Department is inviting you to participate in this Saturday’s (Apr 22nd) Federal Drug Enforcement Administration National Take Back Day. If you have unneeded medication in your household, bring it by the Public Safety Building East Parking Lot at 2 South Street, and turn it in for safe disposal between 10 AM and Noon on Saturday. Here’s Danville Police Chief Christopher Yates.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: A lot of people have it sitting around in their medicine cabinets, or somewhere where a small child would get hold of it. Or even if it can be misused by somebody that’s going through a difficult time, we want to make sure that it’s disposed of properly. We’re doing with in partnership with Rosecrance, as well as other stakeholders in the community.
Again, that’s 10 AM to Noon at the Public Safety Building Saturday morning. It’s safe for the family and safe for the environment to turn in unused, expired, and unwanted medications on National Take Back Day.
