Pastor LeStan Hoskins says they are fortunate to be able to see the students during the school day.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: Our program is pretty unique. We go inside the schools during the school hours. So we spend about one to two hours with students mentoring a week. So we get a chance to impact them at school; and then after school, we may have events where we try to build relationships with families.
Currently, the It Takes a Village Mentorship program is in District 118 schools Liberty, Edison, Mark Denman, Meade Park, and South View Upper Elementary.
