(ABOVE) Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs calls for better attitude among leaders while guiding our country, in memory of those who died to allow the USA the remain in existence today.
During the annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Danville National Cemetery, State Representative Mike Marron and numerous speakers called for unity among American citizens while working out differences. Marron said beforehand, there is no better place to be, to have the proper perspective on Memorial Day.

American Legion Post 210 Commander Dave Morris said the message spoken, from individuals such as Representative Marron and Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs, should ring loud and clear with everybody.

State Treasurer Frerichs said afterwards that those who lost their lives, sacrificed for our country, not one or the other side of the aisle.
