(ABOVE) Crossroads Christian Church will be Saturday’s location for a 4:30 PM cookout and end of day celebration after a full day of SERVE TOGETHER VERMILION COUNTY working at 26 different locations.
This coming Saturday, June 10th, Serve Together Vermilion County will be having their special day, with teams all throughout the county working on various indoor and outdoor projects at homes, businesses, hospitals, schools, first responders; you name it. Board Member Molly Goodwin explains the plan.
AUDIO: Twenty-six different locations on Saturday, all throughout the county. All the teams will report to whatever location it is they are serving at. So we have folks at residents’ homes. We have non-profit organizations. We have a couple businesses. We’ve got some other teams going out to put signs up; saying “thank you for serving in our community.”
In addition, some groups will be out and about offering prayer at different locations. Just a few examples of where teams are going around the county would include Mustard Seed Daycare in Rossville, Danvile Rescue Mission, the YMCA; and at various locations cleaning up trash. Some other projects have been completed already, bringing the total to over 30. To become part of Saturday’s Serve Together Vermilion County effort; go to their Facebook page and click on the link. Work Saturday morning will begin at 8 AM, and will go until about mid-afternoon. An end of the day cookout and celebration will take place at Crossroads Christian Church on North Vermilion at 4:30.
