At around 1:30 AM Wednesday morning (June 28th), Illinois State Police troopers reopened Illinois Route 49 in Vermilion County at the scene of a deadly Tuesday night crash. The crash is reported to have occurred at Route 49 and Vermilion County Road 3550N. Reports have indicated that a Toyota Camry, reported stolen from Rantoul; was driving east on 3550N, ran a stop sign, and struck a Jeep Compass with a driver and passenger heading north on Route 49.
All three individuals involved did not survive the crash.
