The radio stations of Neuhoff Media Danville (1490 WDAN-AM, 102.1 WDNL-FM D102, and 94.9 K-ROCK WRHK-FM) are currently off the air due to extensive damage left behind from the severe storms that moved through Central Illinois Thursday afternoon.
As of 4:45am Friday morning many residents of Danville from Downtown to Prospect Place just north of Voorhees remained without power, including the Neuhoff Media studios. Lots of tree debris, including a large tree leaning up against power wires along N. Jackson Street, remain to be cleared before power can be restored.
Once power is restored to our studios, we will go through our system checks to verify everything works properly, and then return to the airwaves.
Until then, please drive carefully on area roads as some traffic signals are not working at this time. These intersections are to be treated as 4-way stops until service is restored.
Some tree debris also remains along many roadways at this time, so please use caution when driving.
